Headline benchmark is broad country coverage from international sources. National detail means a national statistical office's own classification is also archived. Level 1 is the aggregate all-items basket; Level 2 is its first layer, such as food and beverages or apparel; later levels follow the source's own parent-child structure. Price-series levels and weight levels are reported separately because agencies often publish them at different depths. The price-series figure is the maximum observed across the national office and international sources. “Unranked” means the source provides detailed items but no parent field, so this site does not invent levels. Source-detail labels remain source-native descriptions, not a crosswalk. A successful ingest can be newer than the last changed vintage when a source publishes no new values.
